The history of the kit is. I imported a big beat kit from the States in late 2005 and gradually added to it firstly a 10 x 8 rack tom, then a 14 x 10 in 2006, I managed to lay my hands on a 18 x16 florr from the states again earlier this year (my wife bought it for my birthday) and finally the second 22 inch kick arrived about 3 weeks ago- another present from my wife (wedding anniversary this time). the new photo show a black beauty snare, but do use 14 x 5 vistalite in the studio or an Ian Paice siganture snare. I first used vistalite when I played with UK metal band Raven in the 70's early 80's. I also own a 70's maple kit black cortex with twin 26inch kicks 6 racks (power sizes) and 2 floor toms. The Vistalite is my main gigging kit with my current rock band Straight Shooter. The Maple kit is away to be refurbished by Custom Drum Builder Eddie Ryan.
