Hey - just read your article on John Bonhams history of kits. You mention a kit was auctioned off for charity, I believe he donated one of his kits to be auctioned at a village fete in Wolverley - I reckon that's what you refer to in your article. (Wolverley is just a mile or so from where Robert Plant used to live). The Ching Ring, well I have got that now (or one of them anyway - I can't imagine he had only one). How did I get it? Well, I used to play in a band with a chap who was a good friend of Jason. I guess it got passed on from Jason, and then on to myself when we were rehearsing. I had to clean a fair few bits of blood splats off it! I was also given one of John Bonham's Ludwig snares to play with, but had to give that back when we disbanded. I was never asked for the Ching Ring though. As you can see it's old and grubby now, but I'm not going to part with it (unless Jason sees this and wants it back) - it's part of history. We used to practice at Cutnall Green Church Hall, right next door to where the great man rests.
